The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Division of Administrative Services - IT Section is recruiting for a Cybersecurity Operations Officer!
This position is in the General Government (GGU) bargaining unit at a range 22. This position is open to All Applicants!

What You Will Be Doing :
Division of Administrative Services (DAS) IT Section is seeking a well-rounded Cybersecurity Operations Officer and SME. Under the direction of the Department Technology Officer, you will be leading the cybersecurity operations from its infancy onward for the State's Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. With your technical and hands-on expertise, you will develop, implement, and manage the IT cybersecurity services and tactics to align with DMVA strategies and goals. Some of the primary functions include security management of virtualized environments, compliance / standards adherence, and incident / threat response management.

Minimum Qualifications :
Any combination of education and / or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in :
Equivalent to those typically gained by training in computer science, information technology, system administration, or a similar field and professional experience in database, network, or system administration.
Special Note :
The successful applicants must pass a federal background check in order to qualify for military base access, which is required with this position's work location on base. The background check may include fingerprinting. All job offers are conditional pending successful completion of the federal background check and issuance of a Defense Biometrics Identification System (DBIDS) card allowing base access. Additionally, you must be able to maintain the clearance throughout your employment.
