Job Summary : The Research Analyst is responsible for analyzing student achievement data, identifying gaps, and supporting data-driven decision-making for Student Support Services and ESEA grant-funded programs. This includes providing insights for Title I schools, Migrant Education, Multilingual Language Programs, and effective instructional strategies. The role involves evaluating grant programs, assessing school improvement plans, and analyzing the impact of programs to ensure alignment with goals and compliance with state and federal requirements. Key responsibilities include conducting detailed data analyses, generating reports, and delivering actionable recommendations to drive educational improvements and support program success.
Starting Salary : Grade 7 : $78,172 - $109,792 DOE
Work hours : 8 hours per day
Work year : 12 months
Bargaining unit : Non-Represented
Job Qualifications / Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position) :
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, social sciences, business, mathematics, statistics) or equivalent work experience in data analysis, research, or a related discipline.
- Experience with educational measurement and school accountability programs.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in data collection, preparation, reporting, statistical analysis, and data management.
- Proven technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of student assessment programs and public school systems.
- Expertise in research methodology, evaluation, and statistics, with the ability to interpret the validity and significance of findings.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and handling large datasets using tools such as SPSS, SAS, or Excel.
- Ability to clearly translate and communicate complex analytic and research findings to diverse audiences.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively on data analysis, collection, and presentation of findings.
- Familiarity with federal and state policies impacting K-12 education and an understanding of how to improve these policies.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, both oral and written, tailored to a variety of contexts and formats.
