Alaskan & Proud Markets is a locally owned and operated Grocery Store headquartered in Ketchikan, Alaska. We are looking for an energetic and innovative person to join our Ketchikan team. This position is for a Part Time Cashier. There is a great opportunity for advancement within the Alaskan & Proud Operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Basic understanding of retail operations
Able to multitask, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Cash handling experience
Exceptional Customer Service Skills
Strong work ethic and dependable
Strong verbal and communication skills
Ability to arrive to work on time ready to start
Ability to lift 40 lbs. on an occasional basis
Ability to stand/walk for a full 8-hr work
Basic full body motions: bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, and reaching
Flexibility with work schedule (including weekends and holidays)
Have reliable transportation options to make it to work on time
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operating cash register
Check for ID for Tax & Tobacco Purchases
Assisting customers and other team members
Ability to complete other tasks when cashiering is not busy
Cleaning Store Merchandising such as: Shelves, Registers, Displays, etc.
Stocking and merchandising store products
Misc. Job tasks as assigned by store director or supervisor
Follows and complies with company policies and procedures
Follows and complies with Health and Safety policies
Contributing to a Positive Work Atmosphere
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
