Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development
- Create a structured daily schedule that includes time for play, learning, and rest
- Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to ensure a positive and respectful atmosphere
- Collaborate with parents to understand and meet the individual needs of each child
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom or daycare space
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Ability to educate and engage children through age-appropriate activities
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum and teaching methods
- First aid and CPR certification preferred
Skills:
- Strong understanding of childhood development stages and milestones
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors with empathy
- Organizational skills to plan activities, manage time, and maintain records
