Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Tour Guide to join our team. As a Tour Guide, you will have the opportunity to educate and entertain visitors while showcasing the unique attractions, history, and culinary experiences of Anchorage and the surrounding areas. If you have excellent communication skills, enjoy public speaking, and love sharing knowledge, this is the perfect role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct guided tours on foot or driving a large passenger van, providing engaging and informative commentary about local history, culture, and cuisine.
- Lead groups through designated routes while ensuring their safety, comfort, and enjoyment.
- Share interesting facts, stories, and personal anecdotes to create a dynamic and memorable tour experience.
- Answer questions from guests and provide insightful recommendations.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.
- Adhere to tour schedules and manage time effectively to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance visitor satisfaction.
- Assist in minor logistical duties such as checking in guests and handling basic tour-related administrative tasks.

Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, including navigating uneven terrain and variable weather conditions.
- Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups and interacting with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Previous experience in guiding, hospitality, or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Knowledge of Alaskan history, wildlife, and food culture is a plus.
