Our client is seeking a skilled IT-OT System Operations Administrator to join our team. This role involves installing, managing, and upgrading systems and servers within our IT-OT environment. Planning and preparation of system and server upgrades with IT managers.
- Installing, upgrading and maintaining of Windows systems and servers. Working with external vendors for proper OS patching, system support and other key functions. Routine OS and hardware system firmware patching.
- Interacting with our key IT area personnel to assist with support of all IT-OT environments.
- Maintain Virtual System Infrastructure, including firmware and system OS upgrades
- Create and maintain Virtual Server Guest OS
- Maintain NERC CIP Environment and secured rack located within the Houston office.
- Knowledge of Active Directory user and group management, enforcing user Onboarding and Offboarding procedures.
- Active Directory Group Policy Management. Create and maintain appropriate AD Group Policies for server and user management.
- Providing technical support for IT-OT servers and systems
- Troubleshooting system and server errors and review system error logs and OT user-reported errors.
- Primary management of the Renewable NERC CIP system environment.
- Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups and ensure proper backup measures are in place and active following company standards.
- Remote support of server infrastructure for remote offices and plant sites to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist the IT team to maintain IT monitoring systems and performance
- Advocating Cybersecurity and ensuring all Cybersecurity and company security policies are enforced for IT-OT systems and comply with NERC CIP Compliance.
- Assessing and maintaining the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows Servers, complying with company Cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Linux skills is a plus
- Understanding and prior work skill set of Industrial Control system networks is a plus.
- NERC CIP Knowledge and certification(s) is a plus
- CISCO networking and switch management skill set is a plus.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of five (5) years of IT Server Operations. Experience with Operational Technology(OT)/Industry Control Systems (ICS) is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or equivalent
- Strong computer and networking skills and thorough knowledge of networking concepts, principals, and best practices
- Strong knowledge of managing and supporting Microsoft Windows OS technology, including Microsoft Active Directory Management. Certification is a plus
- Strong knowledge of virtual technology. Currently using VMWare ESXi and Nutanix AHV virtual platforms
- Strong knowledge of OS patching capabilities. Ivanti System Operations skill is a plus.
- Strong networking security skills and a thorough knowledge of network security concepts, principals, and best practices
- Proficiency with major operating systems, Microsoft Office, virtualization, backup and recovery software, disk backup, network monitoring software
- Comply with ICS Security Framework concepts, processes and procedures, or ability to learn within three months.
- Understanding and compliance of NERC CIP standards, process and controls and participate in SCADA Network security assessments and audits is a plus
