ALAW, an established, multi-state real estate and creditors’ rights law firm, is seeking a qualified Residential Escrow Officer to join the team at our Texas based practice group. This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and a full benefits package.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire real estate transaction, beginning to end, process according to sales contracts, lender instructions, company requirements, and other written instructions.
- Review title commitments, sales contracts and other related documents relating to residential real estate transactions for compliance and accuracy.
- Liaison between buyers, sellers, real estate agents and lenders.
- Review Title premiums, endorsements, commitment and recording fees for accuracy
- Prepare Closing Disclosures/HUD-1 Settlement Statements, review file for transfer tax/recording fees, commissions, conveyance, and other settlement documents necessary to complete closing transactions.
- Review Lender Closing packages, Legal Description and Draft Internal Closing Documents. Reviews for accuracy before execution.
- Work closely and coordinate closing transactions with clients and ensure a proper timely closing transaction. Including scheduling closing with both sides of the transaction.
- Balancing the closing disclosure or ALTAs
- Balance File and prepare the register for funding, ensure all addresses and invoices are in the correct folder for the Accounting Team.
- Close 75% of Beginning of month pipeline
- Closing experience in Texas required
- Purchase & REFI experience
- SoftPro Select experience is preferred
- Escrow TX License is preferred
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess strong attention to detail
