UNDERSTANDING

An Operational Team Lead is essential to driving Safety, Quality, and Productivity on the production floor. They guide fellow team members to meet production goals while maintaining a safe work environment. They use experience gained in their skilled job tasks to assist in the operation while working to improve their leadership skills through communication, consistency, and a desire to be better. This team member aligns seamlessly with our core values, they hold no ego, are accountable for keeping themselves safe and motivating others around them to do the same. SCOPE

This position reports to the specific operational Department in Operations. They support work activities in operational areas as needed. They also support other operational activities in other departments as directed by management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct shift resource allocation and assignments for designated work environment
  • Direct job activities for work centers
  • Verify job start, hand-off and completion activities
  • Verify and direct job reporting activities
  • Maintain production schedules
  • Lead team meetings in support of safety, quality, production and company requirements
  • Support and coordinate safety, quality and maintenance activities with production support teams
  • Review, support, and approve team member changeover and PM activities
  • Track and report shift performance metrics
  • Review and correct team member work performance issues
  • Report team member performance
  • Coach team members in the priority of Safety, Quality, then Productivity (SQP)
  • Coach team member compliance with quality, HACCP, GMP and food safety standards
  • Coach team member compliance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Interpret and adhere to all Production Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Meet daily production KPI’s and Objectives
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – team player and also independently driven
  • Hard worker who is a self-starter and proactive
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • The ability to know right from wrong
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Must have basic math skills (with use of a calculator)
  • Must be able to read and interpret weight scale readings and tape measures.
  • Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift with applicable breaks.

EDUCATION

  • Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D

In addition to the lead role candidate will also work as a Chocolate Operator

UNDERSTANDING

Operators are essential to manufacturing and processing confectionery products. Through training and development, they maintain and operate multiple pieces of automated production machinery. Simply stated, they inspect, start, stop, adjust, clean, sanitize and shut down production related equipment as required. SCOPE

This position reports to the Chocolate Manager in Chocolate Operations. They support work activities in the Chocolate Operation areas as needed. They also support other operational activities in other departments as directed by management.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate and maintain production equipment for the processing and manufacturing of food products
  • Escalate Safety, Quality, and Productivity issues
  • Execute tasks to production schedules and plans
  • Perform equipment changes and sanitary activities to company standards
  • Handle, maintain, and use food products, ingredients, utensils, containers, and equipment to food safety requirements and company standards
  • Monitor and report product quality
  • Label and protect products from contamination
  • Monitor and report Non-Conforming Food Production and Equipment Conditions
  • Follow production tasks in sequence as provided by a supervisor or manager
  • Partner with Quality Control and Research and Development on projects
  • Suggest and participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Train and operate material handling equipment
  • Mentor/train fellow Operators on proper standards and procedures
  • Complete production documentation
  • Complete production reporting in business systems
  • Comply with HACCP, GMP and Food Safety Standards
  • Interpret and adhere to all Production Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Meet daily production KPI’s and Objectives
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift with applicable breaks.
  • Regular and timely attendance

  • 1:00pm-9:30pm M-F
