CERTIFIED ADDICTIONS COUNSELOR (CAC) - Albany Care, Evanston, IL
Albany Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Evanston, IL, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Certified Addictions Counselor. Pay Rate of Between $24-$28 per hour(Depending upon Benefit Plan chosen)

Responsibilities of the Addictions Counselor:
- Provide peer-oriented individual and group counseling
- Assessments
- Treatment planning
- Referrals
- Interventions
- Work with family members and friends, and community to educate about SUDs
- Documentation
- Responsible for fostering a safe, motivating and supportive environment
- Encourage and model the philosophy of recovery and empowerment

Requirements
of the Addictions Counselor
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work
- Must have at least one of the following certifications:
Addictions Certificate
Substance Abuse Certificate
CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor)
CAC (Certified Addictions counselor)
Plus
- Experience in a residential mental health facility
- Knowledge of local community resources helpful
