Position Summary
Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS), a private institution with a 140 year tradition located in Albany, NY, is seeking applications for a non-tenure track teaching faculty position (rank commensurate with experience) in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, which serves BS, MS, and Pharm.D programs.
We seek candidates with broad expertise in pharmacology. Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. or other terminal degree in pharmacology and prior teaching experience. Successful candidates will coordinate with colleagues in teaching and developing a new Pharmacology course sequence required for students in our Pharm.D program. Topics covered include: respiratory, endocrine, neuro, rheumatology/oncology, cardiovascular, and infectious disease pharmacology. In addition to the Pharm.D pharmacology sequence, candidates will be expected to contribute to teaching and course development in our BSPS and MSPS programs, notably through mentorship of students in Capstone experiences. While not a primary focus of the position, opportunities exist to collaborate with current faculty research programs. A commitment to excellence in teaching and student development is essential, as are excellent communication (both verbal/written), interpersonal skills, and organizational skills. Participation in the service missions of the College is also expected.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. - Teaching and development of pharmacology courses in our BS, MS, and Pharm.D programs.
- Service on a broad variety of committees
- Advising and mentoring of students across multiple programs

- Prior research experience is a plus.
- Ph.D. or other terminal degree in pharmacology.
- Prior academic experience and/or experience in teaching pharmacology courses.
- Experience in pharmacy programs would be a plus.
