Position Summary :
The Department of Life Sciences and the Department of Allied Health Sciences at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (www.acphs.edu) are seeking candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Data Science to commence on July 1, 2025.

Academic rank (Assistant or Associate Professor) and compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience in clinical practice or clinical management, and experience in professional education.
Major Duties & Responsibilities :
- Primary teaching responsibilities will be courses that support our new MS in health data science program that could include topics in data analytics, machine learning, computational modeling, outcomes analysis, informatics, the use of large databases, data mining, and pattern recognition.
- Develop a research program that, at a minimum, is able to support graduate level capstone projects.
- Serve as the program director for the new MS Degree.
- Participate in curricular development, recruiting, student advising, and other duties necessary for the proper functioning of the program.

Additional Information :
This position is based in Albany, NY. The duties and responsibilities of this particular role require the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and / or interaction with our community, requiring all work to be performed full-time on-site. Standard work hours are from 8 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM EST, Monday through Friday. Additional details pertaining to this position will be discussed during the interview process.
