Position Summary :
The Instructional Laboratory Technician is a part-time (up to 15-19 hours per week) position supporting the College’s instructional laboratories in chemistry and biology.

Major Duties & Responsibilities :
- Purchasing chemicals and maintaining inventory
- Preparing solutions and setting up experiments
- Disposing of chemical waste
- Other general lab support functions, as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The duties and responsibilities of this role require the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and / or interaction with our community, requiring all work to be performed on-site.
