At ACAP, we’ve been empowering individuals and families by expanding opportunities and breaking down barriers to success for nearly 60 years. As a Family Support Advocate, you will be key liaison for families and help parents/guardians develop their role as their child’s first and ongoing teacher.

Qualifications:
Associate degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field OR a Family Development Credential required. Experience in case management, social work or early childhood education is preferred. Basic PC skills including database entry, word processing, and spreadsheet skills are required. Bi- or Multi-lingual skills are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Advocate with families, especially during key transition times such as enrolling students in program, classroom visits, kindergarten enrollment transition, etc.
- Promote and provide engagement and skill development opportunities for parents
- Promote regular student attendance, developing plans to support students with low attendance
- Conduct customer outreach and ongoing recruitment of children to ECE program(s)
- Work with community partners to connect families with local resources and events
- Collect data and maintain records
