What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interim First Grade Teacher position at Albany Community School?
Albany Community School is seeking a certified teacher to join our elementary team for first grade! We are looking for someone who loves to build a community of learners with diverse experiences and backgrounds. A teacher that embraces hands-on learning and experiential learning would be ideal! Bring your passions and the magic back into learning. Our first grade class is a small group of students who are a kind, caring, and empathetic community. They work together to solve problems and have a wonderful dynamic for learning.
Albany Community School is a rural school with about 90 students enrolled in kindergarten through eighth grade. We have a beautiful 50 acre campus that includes mountain biking trails with a pump track, a beaver pond for observations, and XC ski trails in the winter. Teachers enjoy using the land to enhance student learning. Our vision is, “We strive to provide an environment where students will develop to their fullest.” We live this by creating meaningful learning opportunities on our school grounds and in the community.

The Orleans Central Supervisory Union is comprised of two school districts (Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School and Lake Region Union High School) supporting six K-8 elementary schools, the Orleans Central Early Childhood Program, and Lake Region Union High School.
