Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management with experience in running routine safety inspections, scheduling and managing contractors, planning and conducting interior and exterior maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising custodial staff. This role is essential for ensuring that our facilities are safe, efficient, and functional at all times.
Salary Range: $72 - 76k. Comprehensive benefits and generous paid time off.
Status: Full Time, Exempt – Benefit Eligible Reports to: Associate Executive Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall maintenance and care for building, equipment, furniture, and tools.
- Schedule and oversee contractors for preventative maintenance and/or for emergency repairs.
- Provide Associate Executive Director of Operations regular updates regarding preventative maintenance and repairs needed/performed.
- Ensure training and compliance with all safety and security protocols.
- Order supplies as needed for custodial and maintenance department.
- Work within funding budgets while leveraging funding through the use of volunteers, community groups, members, and tenants
- Maintain and update the key fob system for tenants and staff.
- Provide IT and AV support with computers, printers, and phones for staff and volunteers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot domain, wireless, and hardware issues, and establish domain user profiles, email accounts and security filters for new staff.
- Assist tenants with maintenance and coordination of custodial assistance as needed.
- Ensure outside areas are kept clean, watered and mowed in the summer and sidewalks shoveled and de-iced in the winter.
- Draft and maintain agency-wide policies related to maintenance, custodial, and IT as needed.
- Fully engage in self-care to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-4 years’ experience in general facilities maintenance.
- Experience with preventative maintenance and general repairs of a multi-unit apartment building and offices, as well as record keeping needed to ensure compliance.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Computer proficiency and knowledge of computer hardware, printers, key lock systems, video systems, and phone hardware set-up and troubleshooting.
- Community relations skills to enhance our commitment to being good neighbors in the Pine Hills Neighborhood.
- Clean, valid driver’s license, and independent means of transportation.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed. Ability to maintain on-call status.
