The Albany Leadership Charter School for Girls (ALCS) is seeking a Chief School Officer (CSO) to lead the grade 6-12 single-gender public charter school in Albany, NY. The CSO will oversee all aspects of the school including academics, culture, finance and operations. The CSO reports directly to the ALCS Board. ALCS is accountable to the SUNY Charter Schools Institute. The CSO will possess a strong belief in the tremendous opportunity that a single-gender environment provides, both in terms of academic excellence and development of tomorrow's leaders. The Board's vision is for ALCS to be a sisterhood of college-ready scholars who have developed a set of leadership skills for life after high school. The ALCS coursework and expectations are set so a scholar will be prepared for college-level work after high school, regardless of whether college is her choice. The CSO will carry out this vision.
- Educational Background: Master's degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, or equivalent.
- Teaching Experience: Proven successful teaching record at various grade levels.
