What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Runner position at Albany Marriott Hotel?
The Albany Marriott is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our team!
The bartender is responsible for greeting customers, taking drink/food orders, mixing ingredients to prepare cocktails and other beverages, as well as completing transactions all while providing the highest quality of service to customers and associates.
Candidates will receive a $400 sign on bonus after completion of 90 days!
Job Duties
- Provide excellent service to customers.
- Requires knowledge of beer, wine and spirits as well as their preparation and presentation.
- Remain knowledgeable on most current food and beverage menus, as well as all the preparation methods required for the menu items.
- Check station assigned, prior to opening, for cleanliness of tables and chairs, and proper set up of cutlery and glassware.
- Present menus to guests and answer any questions about menu items.
- Check with guests throughout their stay to ensure all beverages & meals meet their expectations.
- Correct any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs. Collect payment from guests.
- Clear tables after guests have finished dining.
- Follows alcohol awareness procedures at all times.
- Follow safe food handling and service practices at all times.
Job Qualifications
- Energized, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to solve problems quickly and properly.
- Able to work on a flexible schedule and are able to work on weekends, and holidays.
- Maintains regular & punctual attendance.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
- Follow all Marriott brand policies and procedures.
- Must be attentive, courteous and efficient when dealing with guests, managers and all other employees.
- Previous experience as a server or similar role is preferred.
