What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Operations Coordinator position at Albany Marriott Hotel?
Job Summary:
Responsible for inspecting hotel guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and lobbies to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Duties and Functions:
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
- Comply at all times with Columbia Sussex standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Support Room Attendants by cleaning and stripping guest rooms as needed.
- Inspect housekeeping carts and closets to ensure that they are property stocked.
- Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways.
- Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed.
- Communicate with other hotel departments regarding problems, which need their attention.
- Report all missing items from room to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
- Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Engineering staff.
- Handle items for “Lost & Found” according to hotel standards.
Qualification Standards:
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Ability to walk and/or stand during the entire shift.
- Medium Work- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to work Holidays and Weekends.
