Active involvement in direction, completion, and outcome of administrative functions of business, personnel, and operational activities related to Community Care Physicians. Act as a liaison between Albany Medical Center and Community Care Physicians. Promote efficient customer service-oriented organization through operational integration. Demonstrate timely and effective resolution of clinical and non-clinical problems. Assess flow and implement adjustments to maximize efficiency of physician operations within the department. Act as a resource to department leadership, physicians, and staff.
Supports Chair/Vice Chair, Attending Physicians, Practice Manager of Community Care Physicians, Director Imaging and Related Services, and department managers and supervisors. Assists with day-to-day operations in collaboration with the Chair/Vice Chair, Practice Manager and Director of Imaging and Related Service. Acts as a liaison to the Chair/Vice Chair, CCP Practice Manager and Physicians, Director Imaging and Related Services, and departmental managers and supervisors. Assists Chair/Vice Chair in obtaining and maintaining faculty appointments for department physicians, Provides administrative support to physicians for planning appointments and meetings. Maintains physician credentialing, continuation of medical education, licensing, billing, time log completion, and other duties as assigned by the Director Imaging and Related Services. Identifies problems and resolutions and provide follow-up to Chair/Vice Chair and Director Imaging and Related Services. Provides support to Radiology Residency Director(s) and Radiology Residency Coordinator. Acts as back up support for Residency Coordinator as necessary. Works collaboratively with physicians and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow between front-line and back-end operations. Assists in the coordination of new physician orientation, credentialing, corporate compliance and training as needed. Manages Qgenda by working with radiology scheduling department to ensure sufficient physician coverage both on-site and on call throughout all hospital imaging modalities and outside facilities. Prepares monthly, holiday, vacation and on-call schedules for physicians. Adheres to Albany Medical Center policy and procedure when accessing protected health information. Attends and actively participates in CCP Radiology Physician Operations and AMC Radiology Quality Improvement Team meetings, as required or necessary. Assists in the planning of the annual department awards celebrations for residents and staff.
Planning and Program Development Monitors the XRMD phone lines for the Radiology Department. Works closely with telecommunications, department managers and radiology support staff. Works on special projects assigned by the Chair/Vice Chair of Radiology, Practice Manager Community Care Physicians, and Director of Imaging and Related Services.
Communication Exercises initiative and independent judgment in communications with Chair/Vice Chairs, Radiologists, Directors, managers and supervisors throughout the hospital. Practices discretion in communication of confidential information. Communicates effectively with the Chair/Vice Chair and Director of Imaging and Related Services on all matters related to the workflow and process of Imaging. Assists Radiologists with communicating critical and urgent findings to referring providers in accordance with hospital policy.
