The Patient Access Senior Associate has skill set encompassing strong working knowledge of County, State and Federal Healthcare Insurance Programs. Troubleshooting complex insurance issues including immigrant status and problematic coordination of benefit issues. The Senior Associate will work closely with our Vendor Partner referring appropriate encounters for evaluation of Medicaid and / or Disability coverage.
The Senior Associate is also responsible for providing estimates to patients inquiring about out of pocket costs as well as bedside collection of inpatient and observation patient financial responsibility.
Experience :
- 3 - 5 years of experience in healthcare setting with knowledge of County, State and Federal Assistance Programs.
- Working knowledge of third-party payer regulations; healthcare financial counseling and Hospital or Physician office experience
- Demonstrated experience with empathetic approach to working with seriously ill, disabled and patients experiencing trauma
