About the Hospitalist Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to fill this critical position in our Hospitalist department.
The ideal candidate will have excellent assessment and communication skills, as well as experience working in a hospital setting. They must also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage patients' health needs, ordering diagnostic tests and developing treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care, including medication administration and minor surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records, ensuring effective billing and inventory management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in patient care.
- Act as a mentor to new staff and/or physician assistant students, promoting professional growth and development.
Requirements:
- A Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program is required.
- Ability to quickly master computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems.
- Must project a professional image and earn the confidence of others.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills are essential.
- HIPAA compliance is mandatory at all times.
- Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and certifications such as ATLS and BCLS are required upon hire.
