The Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in the healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop comprehensive plans of care, ensuring timely and effective treatment.
- Diagnose and treat medical conditions, ordering diagnostic tests and prescribing medications as needed.
- Develop and implement patient education programs, promoting health literacy and empowering patients to manage their conditions effectively.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of New York.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification required upon hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
