Job Summary
The successful candidate will have a strong background in pediatric gastroenterology nursing and be able to work effectively within a team of multi-specialty professionals. Key responsibilities include providing direct patient care, patient triage, assessment, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care plans, as well as participating in in-office procedures under the direction of a physician or APP.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments under the direction of a physician or APP
- Participate in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a Physician or APP and document results in EHR
- Obtain and document patient histories and focused physical assessments related to the clinic visit and as dictated by clinic procedure
- Review and triage incoming test results, patient requests, and pharmacy renewals; facilitate call-backs to patients as necessary
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care
Requirements
- Associate's degree of a state-accredited Registered Nursing program required
- NYS current RN licensure to practice professional nursing required
- Current CPR certification required
- Certification in specialty, Ambulatory setting preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
