Job Title
Adult Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse
The Adult Cardiac Cath Lab at Albany Medical Center is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with high-tech ultrasound and imaging equipment. Our team of skilled professionals, including Registered Nurses, Medical Imaging Technicians, and Certified Vascular Technicians, work together to provide complex structural heart cases and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for adult and pediatric patients under the supervision of our Medical Director.
Responsibilities
- Implement physician orders and administer medications as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment accurately.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
