Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) seeking an exciting opportunity in Vascular Interventional Radiology? We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced RN to join our VIR Nursing team!
Work Shift : Day
Salary Range : $76,396.32 - $126,730.61
Hourly Range : $36.73 - $60.93
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Administer conscious sedation, perform hemodynamic monitoring, and manage vented and critical care patients.
- Provide Phase 1 anesthesia recovery for pediatric and adult patients.
- Access and utilize central venous devices.
Experience Requirements :
Previous experience in peri-procedural nursing care for outpatients and inpatients undergoing Interventional Radiology procedures.Experience in administering conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring.Phase 1 anesthesia experience with pediatric and adult patients.Familiarity with the use and assessment of central venous devices.Desired Skills / Abilities :
Critical care experience preferred, with ACLS and / or PALS certification.Key Responsibilities :
Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments, documenting as required by policies and regulations.Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.Utilize sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.Administer medications, both over-the-counter and prescription, as ordered.Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for patients.Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.Minimum Qualifications :
Graduation from a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).Current NYS Registered Nurse license.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).1-3 years of clinical RN experience is required.At least 1 year of experience in Telemetry or ICU is required.Commitment to ongoing education to enhance job performance.Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques, applied to patient care quality improvement.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center!
