The Clinical Nurse is responsible for assessing, coordinating, planning, and managing the needs of assigned patients throughout their care, with a focus on progress towards discharge. They deliver and coordinate patient care, ensuring compassionate and competent care is provided to patients in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings. The role involves implementing physician orders, administering medications, and providing primary and emergency care for patients with cardiac and medical diagnoses. Additionally, the Clinical Nurse collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients and guides ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Graduate of a professional nursing program
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Previous nursing assistance experience preferred
- Commitment to continuing education for job performance improvement
- Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools
