Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our HIV Medicine Clinic team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. This role involves providing direct patient care, patient triage, assessment, planning, directing, and evaluating of a patient's specific care plan and clinic visit.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain and document focused physical assessments related to clinic visits and dictated by clinic procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments to patients in clinic under the direction of a physician or APP.
- Assess and document response to medication and treatments rendered to patients, if applicable.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Participate in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a Physician or APP.
- Perform diagnostic POCT and CLIA waived testing per MD/APP order and document results in EHR.
- Perform venipuncture per order of MD/APP.
- Facilitate the utilization of resources to meet patient outcomes and contribute to Facility, New York State, and National Quality data metrics.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from a state-accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Minimum 1-2 years of prior clinical nursing experience.
