Job Overview
The STAT team at Albany Medical Center is a group of critical care trained professional nurses available 24/7 to support patient care needs in any acute medical/surgical unit, intensive care unit, and Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities
Stabilize decompensating patients on the floor and in ICUs
Manage ICU patients on the floor
Facilitate movement of patients to higher level of care when needed
Assist visitors and staff to ED after a Code Gray
Requirements
A graduate of a professional academic nursing program
Holds current RN Registration to practice in the State of New York
A minimum of three (3) years recent Intensive Care clinical experience in specific patient populations served
Reads and interprets documents such as Quality Reports and Hospital Policy and Procedures
