Job Summary:
The Clinical Informatics Nurse is a key member of our team, responsible for providing expertise in the planning, design, development, training, implementation, communication, maintenance, and evaluation of new or existing functionality related to clinical and business information systems.
This role requires a strong understanding of nursing/clinical science, computer science, and information science, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to integrate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in clinical practice, support the metaparadigm of nursing through information and data management, and work as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to processes, workflow, policies, and information systems.
The Clinical Informatics Nurse will also be responsible for ensuring data/information is current with regulatory agency and evidence-based practice standards, incorporating a unique body of nursing knowledge with clinical information systems, and coordinating the collection and reporting of outcome metrics associated with the clinical information systems.
