Overview
The Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Outpatient Clinic for General Pediatrics. This role requires providing direct patient care under the supervision of healthcare providers, including obtaining vital signs and documenting patient histories.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Obtain and accurately record patient's vital signs, document components of patient's history, and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Clinical Functions: Participate in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare provider, perform diagnostic CLIA waived testing, and prescription call-backs per scope of practice.
- Patient Preparation: Preps patient's chart for pertinent clinical information, maintains inventory of supplies, and keeps patient examination rooms stocked.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D. required, previous experience in a patient care setting preferred.
- Licensure: LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Upon Hire required.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from physicians, patients, and their family members or other employees within the work setting.
