Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Neuro Progressive Care Unit at Albany Medical Center.
This role involves providing primary and emergency care for patients with complex medical conditions, collaborating with the nursing team to develop patient care plans, and ensuring that all treatments and procedures are performed in accordance with company policy and local/state/federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Provide education to patients and families on health-related topics.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
- DNP or MSN degree from an accredited program.
- Current RN licensure in New York State.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a progressive care setting.
- Certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., neuroscience, gerontology).
