Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Pediatrics Gastroenterology department. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including ordering diagnostic tests and implementing treatment plans.
- Conduct physical examinations, collect clinical data, and prepare patients for tests or treatments.
- Order and interpret medical laboratory test results, diagnose medical conditions, and administer medications or treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records, coding, and billing information.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management and prevention.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination and patient outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctoral degree in Nursing (DNP) from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York State and certification as a Pediatric Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Salary
$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
