Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage patients' physical and emotional needs, including ordering diagnostic tests and developing treatment plans.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare providers to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Develop and implement specialty practice standards to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care.
- Mentor new staff members and physician assistant students to ensure smooth transition into their roles.
Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Ability to quickly master computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in HIPAA compliance.
- Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) upon hire.
- ATLS and BCLS certifications upon hire.
