What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical-surgical Nurse position at Albany Medical Center?
The Medical-surgical Nurse provides compassionate care and administers treatments and medications as ordered by physicians. They assess patient needs, collaborate with the nursing team, and ensure high standards of professional nursing. This role requires a current Registered Nurse license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
- Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for patients
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain professional nursing standards
Qualifications :
This position offers an hourly range of $36.73 - $60.93 and provides an opportunity to contribute to a compassionate and caring environment for patients and colleagues.
