Job Description
The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for coordinating, planning, and administering patient care services in a Pulmonary/Renal Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to mentor professional caregivers and facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care services to ensure competent, compassionate care is uniformly provided to customers.
- Mentor professional caregivers in delivering patient care and facilitating patient access, communication, and transitions.
- Provide leadership for direct patient care provided by specialty nursing unit staff on the assigned primary shift of work.
- Sustain a visible presence, providing guidance and support to unit-based staff to achieve short- and long-term goals and objectives.
