Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing expert patient care and management in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. As an advanced practice nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patients, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing and implementing individualized plans of care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and collection of clinical data.
- Order and interpret medical laboratory test results, diagnose medical conditions, and administer medications or treatments as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Serve as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts, ensuring smooth patient processing and treatment.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) upon hire required.
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification upon hire required.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire required.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Work Environment:
This role requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Eye/hand/foot coordination is also essential.
