- Put into action physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, conduct treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment according to guidelines.
- Evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care delivered.
- Apply sound nursing judgment when making decisions about patient care.
- Provide initial and emergency care for workplace and non-workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop a plan for comprehensive care of all patients.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to apply quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques to support departmental and patient care quality improvement.
