Are you a motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse II to join our team at Albany Medical Center.
In this role, you will work in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and Neuro ICU, providing high-quality, compassionate patient care to male and female, acute and chronically ill patients with a variety of medical/surgical diagnoses.
About the Unit:
The Pulmonary, Renal and General Medical Unit is a 28-bed unit consisting of semi-private and private rooms. There are four private rooms with oximetry monitoring suitable for respiratory patients and four private rooms equipped for patients receiving I-131 therapy delivered by the Radiation Safety Department.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing physician orders, administering medications, and developing effective care plans.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
Requirements:
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
- Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Previous experience as a PCA or other nursing assistance preferred.
