Salary : $27.50-$42.19 (salary commensurate with experience)
The Radiologic Imaging Technician I plays a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services under the supervision of the Medical Director, Section Head, and Radiologist. This position involves performing technical imaging procedures while ensuring a safe and positive experience for patients. Technologists in radiation-producing modalities are responsible for enforcing radiation safety measures in compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations. Continuous learning and teaching are essential, as technology evolves.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain and demonstrate proficient imaging skills in assigned modalities.
- Contribute to a professional and progressive Imaging department with a supportive atmosphere.
- Assist physicians during imaging procedures in assigned areas.
- Be available for on-call duties when required.
- Serve as a mentor and preceptor for new staff and students.
- Support the department in maintaining necessary accreditations.
- Accurately enter patient data into computer systems.
- Conduct quality assurance on images and patient information prior to submission to PACs.
- Obtain peripheral IV access and administer contrast material as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
