During-each-encounter-the-registered-nurse-focuses-on-patient-safety-and-the-quality-of-nursing-care-by-applying-appropriate-nursing-interventions-such-as-identifying-and-clarifying-patient-needs-performing-procedures-conducting-health-education-promoting-patient-advocacy-coordinating-nursing-and-other-health-services-assisting-the-patient-to-navigate-the-health-care-system-and-evaluating-patient-outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate-of-a-professional-academic-nursing-program-in-which-a-Diploma-Associate-Degree-or-Bachelor's-Degree-is-conferred.
Licensure,-Certification-&-Registration:
- Must-hold-current-NYS-Registered-Nurse-license.
- Obtains-and-maintains-certification-in-Basic-Life-Support-(BLS).-Some-departments-require-additional-certifications.
- Experience:
- Previous-nursing-experience-in-an-ambulatory-care-setting-or-1-year-nursing-experience-obtained-outside-an-ambulatory-care-setting-is-preferred.
