The-Registered-Nurse-Ambulatory-Neurology-&-Movement-provides-comprehensive-care-to-patients-in-an-ambulatory-setting-focusing-on-safety-and-quality-nursing-practices.

This-role-involves-building-long-term-patient-relationships-educating-patients-and-collaborating-within-an-interdisciplinary-team-to-manage-healthcare-effectively.

The-nurse-is-responsible-for-patient-assessments-interventions-care-coordination-and-evaluating-outcomes-while-adhering-to-safety-protocols-and-regulatory-standards.

The-Registered-Professional-Nurse-in-the-ambulatory-setting-provides-care-across-the-life-span-to-individuals-families-caregivers-groups-populations-and-communities.

This-is-accomplished-during-face-to-face-encounters-or-through-a-variety-of-telecommunication-strategies-often-resulting-in-the-establishment-of-long-term-patient-care-relationships.

During-each-encounter-the-registered-nurse-focuses-on-patient-safety-and-the-quality-of-nursing-care-by-applying-appropriate-nursing-interventions-such-as-identifying-and-clarifying-patient-needs-performing-procedures-conducting-health-education-promoting-patient-advocacy-coordinating-nursing-and-other-health-services-assisting-the-patient-to-navigate-the-health-care-system-and-evaluating-patient-outcomes.

Ambulatory-care-registered-nurses-acting-as-partners-and-advisers-within-the-interdisciplinary-team-assist-and-support-patients-and-families-to-optimally-manage-their-health-care-respecting-their-culture-and-values-individual-needs-health-goals-and-treatment-preferences.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate-of-a-professional-academic-nursing-program-in-which-a-Diploma-Associate-Degree-or-Bachelor's-Degree-is-conferred.

Licensure,-Certification-&-Registration:

  • Must-hold-current-NYS-Registered-Nurse-license.
  • Obtains-and-maintains-certification-in-Basic-Life-Support-(BLS).-Some-departments-require-additional-certifications.
  • Experience:
  • Previous-nursing-experience-in-an-ambulatory-care-setting-or-1-year-nursing-experience-obtained-outside-an-ambulatory-care-setting-is-preferred.
  • Skills,-Knowledge-&-Abilities:
  • Ability-to-improve-job-performance-through-continuing-education.
  • Possesses-knowledge-of-quality-concepts-principles-and-problem-solving-tools-and-techniques-and-demonstrates-ability-to-apply-in-support-of-departmental-and-patient-care-quality-improvement.
