Job Summary:
The Adult Cardiac Cath Lab at Albany Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Professional Nurse (RPN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar setting, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Pre/Post nurses will also order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions, assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients, direct and guide ancillary personnel, and maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions and provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
