Job Description
This role involves working in our Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit, where you will be responsible for implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests. You will also order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care Coordination: Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services.
- Meds Management: Administer medications, including over-the-counter and prescription medications, as ordered.
- Treatment Implementation: Implement physician orders, start IVs, and perform treatments, procedures, and special tests.
- Disease Management: Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement plans of care for patients with infectious diseases.
- Leadership: Direct and guide ancillary personnel, maintaining standards of professional nursing.
