A premier medical institution in New York is seeking a highly skilled Urgent Care Medical Specialist to join its team. This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity for physician assistants and/or nurse practitioners to contribute their expertise in providing exceptional patient care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations
- Gather clinical data, including vital signs, specimens, and point-of-care testing results
- Perform occupational medicine assessments to identify potential health risks
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records
- Serve as a leader for the clinical staff, ensuring seamless coordination of care
Requirements:
- Valid registration as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with the State of New York
- Current DEA certification
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- NCCPA registration
- Applicable state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting, preferably with critical care experience
