Title: Receptionist / Accounting Clerk
Albany Mitsubishi is looking for an Accounting Clerk / Receptionist with prior dealership experience to join our office staff. The accounting clerk must have a baseline understanding of all aspects of general ledger accounting as well as an understanding of greeting customers. Automotive dealership experience/background is preferred for this role.
Accounting Clerk / Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Answer all incoming phone calls
- Dealership Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable - Processing of cash receipts & vendor invoice, collection of dealership AR balances, refunds, warranty cancellations, regional check runs
- General Dealership Accounting - FTC, RDR, Rebate & Bank Reconciliation, Schedule reviews and maintenance, Accounting for manufacturer monies, Balance Intercompany, Sales Tax, et
- Stock in vehicles
- Receive and process paperwork from the F&I department
- Prepare trade-in vehicle jackets
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales agreements, tax and title documents
- Meet company timelines in processing invoices and payables
- Consistently respond to customer inquiries and requests in a professional manner within company timelines
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor
- Performs administrative duties in the office such as data entry, word processing, filing, copying and other duties associated with this position
- Other administrative duties as assigned
- Attends pertinent training and company meetings as required
Accounting Clerk / Receptionist Qualifications
- Bookkeeping Certification, Associates Degree in Accounting or 2-years commensurate experience (required).
- Prior experience as Receptionist / Accounting Clerk
- Automotive dealership experience
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in fast paced environment team environment
- Provide excellent customer service
- Effective time management and task prioritization
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
