POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Principal, instruct a self-contained classroom utilizing the state content standards and course of study adopted by the school district. RECORDKEEPING:

1. Obtains materials and equipment necessary to teach the District-developed curriculum.

4. May plan and coordinate the work of aides, teacher assistants, student teachers, and other paraprofessionals.
5. Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities.
6. Shares in the sponsorship of student activities and participates in faculty committees.
7. Participates in District, school, and educationally oriented community meetings whenever possible.
8. Maintains and strives to improve professional competence through participation in in-service educational workshops provided by the school, the District, or other self-selected professional growth activities. E
