What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk/Customer Service position at Albany Urology Clinic?
Summary of Job:
- Check in patients, check out patients, answer incoming phone calls and schedule patient appointments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Greet patients upon arrival. Customer service is the NUMBER 1 priority.
2. Check in patients and update patient information as needed. Scan forms and waivers into the patient’s record and attach the patient’s photo and appropriate flags. Track the patient’s location.
3. Collect copays, balances, and post to the patient’s account.
4. Set up payment plans as needed, based on protocol.
5. Schedule appointments. Complete full registration when scheduling new patients.
6. Do a preliminary balancing at 4:00PM to correct any errors before leaving for the day.
7. Make sure adequate change is in drawer at all times and let Office Manager know if change is needed.
8. Reschedule office appointments when replaced by a surgery.
9. Perform other tasks as needed or directed by management.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
1. GED required
2. 3 years of relevant experience required
Job Requirements:
1. Employee must be able to communicate clearly with patients.
2. Employee must be able to keep an organized workflow and effectively manage multiple tasks at one time.
3. Employee must be able to be active and mobile for an eight hour period.
