Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or special requests
- Process payments and handle cash transactions using a cash register
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Follow food safety protocols and guidelines for proper food handling and preparation
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
Skills:
- Proficiency in using OpenTable or similar reservation management software
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Upselling abilities to promote additional menu items and increase sales
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking, bill calculation, and cash handling
- Familiarity with operating a cash register or POS system
- Competence in basic food preparation techniques
