Albers Management is recruiting for four Senior Construction Project Managers and for projects in Indianapolis, Indiana.
This will be an on-site position.
Responsibilities include:
The Project Manager is the overall lead for overseeing the planning, design, and construction of large-scale industrial projects, working closely with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Specific responsibilities include tasks such as developing project schedules, monitoring progress, identifying potential issues, and recommending corrective actions. The Project Manager is also responsible for managing project budgets, tracking costs, and forecasting project financial performance.
Additionally, the Project Manager serves as a liaison between the client and the construction team, communicating project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring that all work meets the client's requirements. This is a critical role as the Project Manager ensures the successful completion of industrial construction projects. He or she must possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to be effective in this role.
Professional Experience / Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Experience delivering $10mm ( ) projects from conceptual planning through closeout, greenfield experience is preferred
- Post-secondary training in construction management, architecture, engineering, engineering technology, and/or trade journeyman status from a recognized institute or other qualifications, industrial/construction training,g and experience deemed equivalent
- A minimum of ten years of construction project management experience, preferably in an industrial or heavy infrastructure construction environment
- Experience leading and integrating cross-functional teams, strategies, and plans to achieve success
- Proficient ability to read and understand mechanical, structural, civil plans and specifications, and tender documents; Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write reports using original or innovative techniques or style
- Proficient in the use and application of computers and related software - Microsoft Office, etc.
- Initiative – self-starter; perceives a need and fulfills it in an effective and efficient manner
- Efficient – understands Company priorities and translates them into work responsibilities, manages and organizes work and resources to maximize efficiencies.
