ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations both domestically and internationally. This role involves managing cold chain logistics, supervising one team member, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards. The manager will manage key logistics functions, including vendor coordination, cost optimization, compliance, and reporting while maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy and efficiency.
As a response to the pandemic, Albert Uster Imports Inc. office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Monday through Wednesday, with the option to telework on Thursday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the Gaithersburg office are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistics Operations Management
- Oversee and manage the movement of goods to ensure timely and efficient delivery across domestic and international markets
- Coordinate with overseas service providers to determine optimal loads considering cost, temperature, transit times, and hub-and-spoke logistics
- Develop and maintain domestic routing guides for use by product vendors
- Negotiate and maintain rate sheets, tariffs, and inbound freight matrix calculations
- Provide inbound freight estimates for ad-hoc air shipments

SALARY RANGE
We hire exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways we do that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this role will be $80,000 - $95,000.
This role will be bonus-eligible.
Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferrable skills, the Company will determine at its sole discretion, the salary offered.
