Our flexible work style lets you work remotely while allowing regular visits to our vibrant offices, where you can soak up our culture and collaborate with colleagues.The Data Enablement team collaborates with internal groups at AIMCo to support the creation of Data Products which include reports, dashboards, and data applications.
As the Student, Data Enablement, you would contribute to the development and deployment of modern data engineering pipelines for financial & investment data. You will work with several passionate and solution-oriented data professionals who are eager to support and mentor you. This is a 4-month full-time term from May 2025 through August 2025.

Responsibilities:
Perform exploratory and targeted data processing, data modeling, and data cleaning to support the development of data products.
Collaborate with teammates and share findings using your excellent communication skills.
Participate in team problem-solving efforts and offer ideas to solve data/process issues.
Development of products using Python/SQL or other programming languages.
Gather requirements and reverse engineering of processes
Provide support services including root-cause analysis, debugging, training, and consultation services.
Code and process documentation
Support the creation of training materials for data development
Our Ideal Candidate:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Technology Management or a related field
Returning to full-time studies in Fall 2025 or finishing final work experience terms.
Demonstrated skill in the use of one or more analytic software tools or languages (e.g. Python, R, Power Bi, Spotfire, JavaScript and Java, C# etc.)
Aware of data visualization and storytelling methods for conveying information to stakeholders
Exposure to Business Intelligence visualization software like Microsoft Power BI, TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau, etc. is desired.
High attention to detail, with demonstrated ability to not just identify problems but provide solutions.
Exposure to applying predictive or prescriptive analytics to applications is an asset.
Demonstrating a strong commitment to AIMCo’s core values of excellence, transparency, humility, integrity, and collaboration, and inspiring the same in others

As the successful student in the Data Enablement team, you will complete your work term with a sense of pride and accomplishment regarding all the new skills and knowledge you were able to attain over the work term.
